A West Bend couple is each facing charges of battery and disorderly conduct following an altercation. According to Lieutenant Michael Hartwell of the West Bend Police, Wednesday afternoon at one twenty, officers responded to a call of a loud domestic dispute on the south west side. A 34 year old man was involved in an altercation with his 33 year old wife. Apparently he locked her out of the house and slammed the door on her finger. When police arrived, they arrested the man for Disorderly Conduct and Battery. During the investigation of this incident, an additional incident was reported to the police and it was determined that the 34 year old woman was the aggressor. Charges of Disorderly Conduct and Battery were referred to the District Attorney’s Office on this separate case against the woman. Lieutenant Hartwell also reports that Wednesday night at eight forty pm, a 35 year old West Bend woman was stopped for driving Northbound in the southbound lanes on 7th Avenue. She was questioned and given the field sobriety tests, which she failed. Officers determined she intoxicated, and arrested her on a second Offense OWI. She was placed in jail on a 12 hour hold.
