The week following the Easter holiday weekend gets underway with a regular scheduled meeting of the Kewaskum Village Board tonight at seven pm. The various department heads will give updated reports including Fire Chief Mark Groeschel and Police Chief Thomas Bishop. Also scheduled to give a report is Village Administrator Matt Heiser. Heiser will be submitting a request to volunteer for a Junior Achievement project, ask to reschedule the visioning session and then update the board on the Main Street project. He will also provide information on the village’s renewed salt contract with the state of Wisconsin. Several items of concern to be addressed in new business include the discussion and possible action on hiring 2014 summer part time employees. A review of the village’s water needs assessment and also a discussion and possible action on adopting the purchasing policy. The board meeting will be in the Council Room of the Municipal Building at 204 First Street. It is open to Kewaskum residents.
