4/22 West Bend Police Have Busy Easter Sunday

While many families took the time on Easter Sunday to rejoice in the day, Lieutenant Michael Hartwell of the West Bend Police reports several criminal arrests involving family members. The first case happened around four fifteen am Sunday morning. A 23 year old  West Bend man became involved in an argument with his 27 year old sister while drinking and playing cards.  The man  pushed his sister down hard , bit her leg and scratched her face. When police arrived at the home, they arrested the man on charges of  Disorderly Conduct and Battery.  The second case took place about ninety minutes later at five forty five am on the south west side. According to the report, a  woman woke up to find a 23 year old West Bend man passed out on the floor of her residence. The man was intoxicated and could not explain  to police how he got into the residence or why he was there. The man was placed in jail for Criminal Trespass to  a Dwelling. The final criminal arrest happened Sunday night at eleven pm.  Police  received several calls regarding a male and a female who were involved in a physical fight outside of their vehicle on the south east side.  When the officers initially arrived, the man and the woman were gone as they fled into a wooded area.  A short time later they returned to the car and it was stopped by an officer.  The driver was a 23 year old West Bend,  who was the same one from the earlier incident.  A 20 year old female was a passenger in the vehicle.  The male driver was intoxicated and refused to take the field sobriety tests.  Police also determined that the woman had been driving the car leading up to the initial call and that she  too was intoxicated.  The man was arrested again and placed in jail for Disorderly Conduct and was issued a citation for  first  Offense OWI.  The woman was cited for  an Absolute Sobriety violation.
