5/8 Two Car Crash Forces Lane Closures Along Highways 41/45

A  two vehicle roll over crash along Highways 41 /45 just north of County line Road early Wednesday evening forced the closures of two lanes for almost forty five minutes.  According to the report filed by Lieutenant Dave Huesemann of the Germantown Police Department, the preliminary investigation indicates that a box fell off an unknown southbound truck and landed in the right lane of traffic.  A southbound vehicle drove over this box, and it became lodged under the vehicle.  The driver of this vehicle lost the ability to steer and went off the road left into the center median.  The driver was the only occupant and was not injured. Unfortunately, that vehicle struck another vehicle prior to coming to rest in the center median.  As a result of being struck, this second vehicle rolled over multiple times and came to rest on the right shoulder of the highway.  A 35 year old female was the only occupant in this rollover vehicle.  She was transported to a local hospital by Menomonee Falls Ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. Germantown Police were assisted on the scene by Germantown Fire Department, Menomonee Falls Ambulance and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. The accident remains under investigation.
