5/12 Two People Injured in Motorcycle Accident

Sunday night at approximately 9:30 pm the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motorcycle accident on County Road WW just slightly north of Beaver Dam Road in the Town of Wayne. According to the report filed by Lieutenant Bruce Thisch, a motorcyclist and his passenger were northbound on County Road WW, when a deer crossed the roadway into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist struck the deer causing the motorcycle to overturn and eject the driver and his passenger. The driver of the motorcycle, a 42 year old Town of Wayne man, was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for facial injuries. His passenger, a 45 year old Town of Wayne woman, was transported to Froedtert Hospital for head injuries. Flight for Life was requested to transport the female but was unable to fly due to weather. Kohlsville, Allenton and West Bend Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. The initial investigation discovered that neither occupants of the motorcycle were wearing helmets. Alcohol was not a factor. The deer was found dead on the scene.
