5/23 West Bend Memorial Day Parade and Program

Monday morning’s Memorial Day Parade in West Bend starts at 9:30 a.m. in front of Badger Middle School. It then heads north on Main Street, turns  left on Hickory Street  to sixth street, then onto Chestnut Street and ends at the Washington County Historical Courthouse.  Following the parade, the annual memorial program will be held starting at eleven at the West Bend Memorial Plaza.  The program will feature a special military veteran speaker as Steve Rohde explains:
MEMORIALDAY3 :23                                       Q= IN VETERANS
Unfortunately these days many people see the day as day off from work. Rohde however, takes a moment to properly put the day’s observances into perspective:
MEMORIALDAY2 ;18                                       Q=FOCUS OF THAT
In addition to the retired Colonel speaking, several high school students will recite versus from patriotic addresses.
