West Bend Police cited four different people over the holiday weekend for their first offense OWI. The busy weekend of intoxicated drivers began Saturday night at eleven. A 41 year old woman female from Allenton was stopped for numerous moving violations in the 2400 Block of West Washington Street. Upon questioning she was found to be intoxicated. After she failed the field sobriety tests, she was cited for a first Offense OWI and released to a responsible adult. Sunday night just before midnight, a 32 year West Bend man, was stopped at East Washington and River Road for a moving violation. During questioning, police suspected him of being intoxicated. He failed the field sobriety tests and was cited for a first Offense OWI and released to a responsible adult. The next two violations happened early Monday morning about an hour apart from each other. At one fifteen am, a 59 year old Germantown woman was seen operating a vehicle with fresh accident damage. Police stopped to question her and she was found to be intoxicated after she failed the field sobriety tests. She was cited for first Offense OWI and placed in jail on a 12 hour hold. The Washington County Sheriff’s Department was checking for damage from the accident in county. Then at 2:12 am, A 29 year old West Bend man was stopped for several moving violations at River Road and Gatewood. During questioning, the man was found to be intoxicated. He was given and failed the field sobriety tests. He was cited for a first Offense OWI and placed in jail on a 12 hour hold.
