5/29 Jackson Police Identify Wanted Man for Convenience Store Robbery

A Milwaukee man has been charged and an arrest warrant has been issued for him in connection with the robbery of the Village Mart convenience store late last year. According to Jackson Chief of Police Jed Dolnick, the wanted suspect is 28 year old Andrew Jemison. On December 23rd, he entered the Village Mart and placed a bottle of ice tea on the counter to supposedly purchase. He then displayed what appeared to be the tip of a gun barrel to the cashier and demanded that she open the register and give him all the money. At first, she refused and then he allegedly said “ I’m not playing around”. After being given the cash, he then fled on foot. Police were able to recover the ice tea bottle, which was sent to the state crime lab. On My 13th, the lab reported back to Jackson Police that the two finger prints on the bottle matched Jemison’s.  A reward may be provided for any information leading to Jemison’s arrest. A photo of Jemison is on our web site under the local news tab.  Chief Dolnick is asking anyone with information about Jemison to contact the Washington County Tip Line: (800) 232-0594. All tips remain anonymous.
