The Washington County Sheriff’s office is reporting the arrests of a father and his daughter Friday morning at three am on separate criminal charges. According to the report from Lieutenant Martin Schulteiss, the Dispatch center received a 911 call from a man stating there was a large fire on Holy Hill Road. Upon questioning the caller stated he was walking and observed the fire. The Dispatch officer asked for his name and he hung up. Through caller ID follow-up, officers were able to determine the cell number belonged to a 62 year old Village of Menomonee Falls man. Sheriff Deputies later discovered that at the same time this false call came in, Germantown Police were on a traffic stop with a 27 year old City of Hartford woman. She was stopped on suspicion of drunk driving and operation with a revoked license . Further questioning revealed, she is the daughter of the 62 year old man who called in the fire. Washington County Deputies made contact with the woman who stated she had called her father when she was being stopped to let him know she was probably going to jail and the car was going to be towed. Contact was then made with the man who initially denied making the call but eventually admitted to calling 911 to try to divert law enforcement attention away from the traffic stop. He was taken into custody for obstructing justice and turned over to the county jail.
