6/6 Sheriff Deputy's Traffic Stop Leads to Heroin Arrests

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department is releasing information today about a successfully executed drug bust on Wednesday. According to the report from Lieutenant Paul Buth, two suspects, one male and one female ages 32 and 23  both from the Town of Addison area were arrested at a traffic stop on Highway  41 as they were returning from Milwaukee with heroin. The traffic stop was made by the Washington County Sheriff’s K-9 unit. The stop was related to an ongoing investigation into heroin distribution by the Washington County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Enforcement Group .The two suspects, were believed to be involved in heroin distribution to that area as well as West Bend and other areas in Washington County. Search Warrants were obtained with the assistance of the Washington County District Attorney’s office and signed by Judge Muehlbauer.  Execution of the search warrant ultimately resulted in the seizure of 32.1 grams of uncut heroin with a street value of approximately $6400. Lieutenant Buth points out, as the typical dose of heroin is normally less than .1gram, this represents a significant amount of heroin for this area.
