It was far from a quiet weekend on the streets of West Bend as Lieutenant Michael Hartwell reports sixteen various calls being handled by officers ranging from disorderly conduct, retail theft, and OWI’s. The busy weekend started early Friday morning just after one am on the south east side. A 38 year old West Bend man went to the home of his ex-girlfriend and caused a disturbance. She called police; however he left prior to the officers arriving. About two hours later, the man returned to the residence and this time gained entry into the home. Once again, police were called, but he left a second time prior to officers arriving. Charges are being referred to the Washington County District Attorney for Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing. Lieutenant Hartwell also reports two disorderly conduct cases from later in the day Friday. Police were dispatched to a home on the south east side of town at two thirty to break up a physical fight between a 20 year old man and his roommate. The man was arrested and placed in jail for Disorderly Conduct and Battery. Friday night at eight, a 65 year old West Bend woman, was involved in a disturbance with some neighbors on the south east side. Police arrived and the woman was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct. Early Saturday morning, Police recorded two OWI arrests. At around twelve forty am 12:38 am, a 26 year old male, resident of Colorado, was stopped for operating a vehicle with an expired registration at Rivershores & Veterans. After initial questioning, the driver was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was cited for a first Offense OWI, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Next, at two am. a 26 year old West Bend man was stopped for failure to yield the right of way. He was found to be intoxicated and was Offense OWI and was placed in jail on a 12 hour hold.
