West Bend Police were involved in a rather intense encounter with a local man early Thursday morning. According to the new release provided by Officer Timothy Dehring, shortly before two, a 20 year old woman called the Police Department and reported that there were several people arguing on the sidewalk at 228 North sixth Avenue. The caller reported that one of the men being identified as Timothy A Gordon, displayed and pointed a handgun at her and several other individuals. All the suspects involved in the dispute fled the scene prior to police arriving. An investigation got underway and at 2:20 AM, officers located Gordon’s vehicle at his home in the 1600 block of Hans Street. After a brief initial contact over the telephone, Gordon refused to communicate further with police. Gordon and a second suspect were heard making statements acknowledging the police presence and their intent not to obey the police request to come out of the residence, and be taken into custody. The West Bend Police Department Special Response Team was called to the scene. Finally at 5:45 AM, Gordon exited and was taken into custody. Gordon was charged with Recklessly Endangering Safety, Endangering Safety by Intoxicated Use of a Dangerous Weapon, Failure to Comply with Attempts to Take into Custody, and Disorderly Conduct. The SRT also entered the home and took a second male subject into custody without incident. A handgun was recovered.
