Less than 48 hours after original Saturday night headliner ZZ TOP cancelled their concert for Saturday night at The Washington County Fair, Sandy Lang, Executive Director and Fair Manager made an announcement that WBKV was the first media source to announce the news. The Washington County Fair has booked classic rock superstars The Guess Who along with Blood Sweat and Tears to co-headline on Saturday night. In a prepared statement Sandy Lang Executive Director and Fair Manager said “We are thrilled to announce this show,”. “With these additions, we hope that everyone who had planned on coming to the show on Saturday joins us for a night of fantastic songs and energy.” The Guess Who had five gold and three platinum selling albums in the 1960s and ’70s. The band continues to tour and includes original members Jim Kale, Garry Peterson, and Leonard Shaw . Their songs include “American Woman,” “No Sugar Tonight” and “No Time.”Blood, Sweat & Tears was a Grammy-winning hit band in the 1970s. Songs include “Spinning Wheel,” “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy” and “And When I Die.” The Washington County Fair has resumed ticket sales for Saturday’s show, which begins at 5 p.m. VIP tickets are available at $25 each. The VIP area will open at 3:30 p.m.
