7 / 25 2014 Fair Junior Livestock Auction Results

A capacity crowd filled the farm progress arena on the Washington County Fairgrounds Thursday night for the 45th annual Junior Livestock auction. Savanna Dei sold her overall champion 282 pound swine to American Metal and Paper for eleven dollars a pound and a paycheck of $3102.00. Tiffaany Miller sold had the reserve champion swine at 279 pounds which Jonco Industries purchased at seven dollars a pound earning her a check for $1953.00 dollars.  Other champion ribbons presented in the Swine category included Savanna Dei following up her overall champion with the champion Barrow at 255 pounds that was purchased by MGS Manufacturing for four dollars and fifty cents per pound for a second paycheck earning her $1147.50. Emily Butzlaff took home honors with the Reserve Champion Barrow weighing 239 pounds and purchased by Ballweg Implement at five fifty per pound. According to Allan Linnebur junior Livestock show superintendent, this year was a record sale in total Gross dollars at roughly $249,000
