It was not exactly a series of major crimes over the weekend, but it was enough to keep West Bend police active. Early Friday evening at five twenty, two women ages 28 and 23 year old female were both cited for Disorderly Conduct after being involved in a verbal argument over some photographs? Lieutenant Hartwell is also releasing some information on two OWI’s from Early Saturday morning. At about two thirty am, a 25 year old man from Kewaskum was stopped for an unsafe lane deviation at Sand Drive & Polaris Street. During questioning, the driver was found to be intoxicated and failed the field sobriety tests. The man was cited for first Offense OWI. A short time later, a 21 year old Port Washington man, was stopped in the 2600 Block of East Washington Street after nearly striking a construction barrel. Police questioned the man and he was found to be intoxicated after failing the field sobriety tests. The man was cited for a first Offense OWI. Lieutenant Hartwell also tells WBKV News about a bit more serious incident that officers dealt with on Sunday morning at about one fifteen. According to the report, A 23 year old West Bend woman, became involved in an argument at a home on the south east side where she lives with the male victim’s brother. During the argument, the woman threw her boyfriend’s phone and then went after him as he escaped into his brother’s room. During this altercation, the woman knocked the door off the frame in order to get to the boyfriend and then punched him twice in the face. The female then armed herself with a hammer and swung it at the two brothers and smashed a TV during the altercation. The female then left the home and was later located a short time later and taken into custody. She was placed in jail for two counts of Disorderly Conduct, Battery, two counts of Criminal Damage to Property, and Endangering Safety by use of a Dangerous Weapon.
