Lieutenant Martin Schulteiss from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department provided the media with updated information on the man’s body that was found dead in a car near Slinger on Sunday night. Lieutenant Schulteiss said normally the Sheriff’s office does not do press releases on natural deaths but because he received several phone calls on the death after it was reported, he felt inclined to provide more information. According to the report, a 63 year old Village of Sussex man was reported to be overdue. He was last seen at the Slinger Speedway on Sunday night. His family was going to report him as missing through Waukesha County. The family also came up to Washington County to look for him since they knew his last location. They ended up seeing some very faint tire tracks leading off the east shoulder in the 2800 block of Highway 164. They located him inside his car in some very thick brush just north of a driveway. He was dead. An Autopsy was done and his death was ruled a natural death as there was no trauma to the body. Officers reported there was no braking at the scene which supports a sudden medical event.
