In an exclusive story provided to WBKV News, members of the West Bend high school drum line have been chosen to perform at select Bucks home games this season. According to band director Leah Duckert, the West Bend high school drum line is actually now recognized as the Bucks official Junior Beats Drumline. The drumline will play at Saturday night games about once a month. The team will split up and play in two concourses during pregame along with on the court at halftime, at quarters, and in the atrium for post game. The West Bend High School drum line is the first high school drum line in the NBA to be contracted by an NBA team. According to Duckert, the Bucks are paying for busing, feeding the students and providing outfits for each performance. In addition, the Bucks will purchase entirely new instruments, so school equipment won’t have to be used. Every student will also get two tickets to each game and have access to locker rooms.
