A forty year man from West Bend was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries he sustained in a roll over crash early Thursday morning that forced the closure of Highway 67 near Lomira. According to the report, 40-year-old Anthony Martin of West Bend says he fell asleep at the wheel, crossed the centerline, struck a retaining wall in the ditch and then rolled over. His vehicle came to rest in the middle of the roadway. Martin then exited the vehicle in an attempt to find his dog. That's when a second vehicle, operated by 66-year-old Thomas Riehle of Brownsville, struck the first vehicle head-on. Both drivers were flown from the scene by helicopter to either Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah or St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Both driver's sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Martin is facing charges of Inattentive Driving.
