Officers with the West Bend Police Department successfully recorded two different arrests with an hour of each one on Tuesday. According to Lieutenant Michael Hartwell, Tuesday morning at eleven thirty, a 30 year old Milwaukee man, was arrested for robbery after asking a 32 year old woman for a ride to Milwaukee. When the female refused, the man put her in a headlock, pushed her to the ground, punched her in the head and then took her cell phone before fleeing the area on foot. The woman called police to the scene of the attack on the north east side of town. A short search began and the male suspect was located hiding behind a business in the area. He was taken into custody and placed in jail on charges of Robbery, Battery and Disorderly Conduct. The second incident happened at twelve thirty. Police observed a 71 year old West Bend man driving on the wrong side of the road in the 30 block o South Main and his vehicle had two flat tires. After the officer stopped the vehicle, and spoke with the man, it was determined that he was intoxicated. He was administered and failed the field sobriety tests and was cited for his first Offense OWI.
