Two men from West Bend found themselves in confrontations with police on Tuesday that ended up having them being taken into custody. According to Lieutenant Michael Hartwell of the West Bend Police Department at one pm a 27 year old West Bend man was observed by a citizen walking around the old Walgreens store on South Main Street talking about a drug deal on his cell phone. The police were notified and went to the scene. The man was located on the property. He was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police arrested and placed him in jail for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a probation hold. Earlier in the day, at twelve thirty am., a 73 year old West Bend man was stopped in the 200 block of North 18th Avenue after driving up on the curb and nearly striking a traffic light. After interviewing the man, he was found to be intoxicated and failed the field sobriety tests. He was cited for his first Offense OWI.
