8 / 29 Jack KNifed Semi Blocks Traffic for Over 2 Hours

A 44 year old City of Hartford man escaped without any injures after the semi he was driving jack knifed Thursday morning along Highway 41 near Slinger. According to the incident report from Lieutenant Martin Schulteis of the Washington County Sheriff’s office at eleven am traffic along 41 north near Commerce Boulevard and SV was slowing down for the road construction. The man’s semi trailer crested the hill and couldn't slow down fast enough for the stopped or slowing traffic.  The truck entered the median and jack-knifed. No other vehicles were involved and the trailer was empty. Traffic along 41 north was restricted down to one lane during clean up and removal. Traffic was restored to two lanes by about 1:20pm. The truck driver works for AMB Transport in the City of Hartford. It is not known at this time if any citations will be issued  to the driver.
